Your life is a soul
Betwix two windows;
The suns and the shadows...
But at the elapse of it all,
You are to pip in both;
Though much deception by the suns.
Oft a times, you mop
The soon rotting floor,
And you paint like peacocks.
You build concrete walls,
Expensive wooden over coats
And diamond-like rooftops.
What for when the flesh-whole cries still?
Life’s Tone...

Poet's note: The poem is satirizing the extravagance of humans while on earth, like doing makeup yet the time is coming for their bodies to rot and building expensive epitaphs for the dead and buying expensive coffins for them yet there are human who still suffer. The windows symbolize the world of the living as suns and the world of the deceased as shadows...
