daily miracles of your life your pain would not seem | E |
less wondrous than your joy | F |

And you would accept the seasons of your heart | G |
even as you have always accepted the seasons that | H |
pass over your fields | A |

And you would watch with serenity through the | D |
winters of your grief | I |

Much of your pain is self chosen | J |
- | |
It is the bitter potion by which the physician within | K |
you heals your sick self | L |
- | |
Therefore trust the physician and drink his remedy | M |
in silence and tranquillity | M |

For his hand though heavy and hard is guided by | N |
the tender hand of the Unseen | O |
- | |
And the cup he brings though it burn your lips has | A |
been fashioned of the clay which the Potter has | A |
moistened with His own sacred tears | A |
