The Cloth Of The Tempest Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCDDEDEFEDGHID HDJKEEDLDEM FDNFEDEODEHDPEQDR

These of living emanate a formidable lightA
Which is equal to death and when usedB
Gives increase eternallyC
What fortifies in separate thoughtD
Is not drawn by wind or by man defiledD
So whispers the parable of doublenessE
As it is necessary not to submitD
To power which weakens the hidden formsE
It is extraordinarily more essentialF
Not to deny welcome to these originating forcesE
When they gather within our heatD
To give us habitationG
The one life must be attempted with the otherH
That we may embark upon the fiery workI
For which we were certainly madeD
-
-
What has been separated from the motherH
Must again be joined for we were born of spiritD
And to spirit all mortal things returnJ
As it is necessary in the method of earthK
So sings the parable of singlenessE
My comforter does not conceal his faceE
I have seen appearances that were not marshalledD
By sleepL
Perhaps I am to be stationedD
At the nets which move through this completing seaE
Or I have hunting on my signM
-
-
Yet the ground is visibleF
The center of our seeing The houses restD
Like sentinels on this hawking starN
Two women are bathing near a trestleF
Their bodies dress the world in golden birdsE
The skin of their throats is a dancing fluteD
How alter or change How properlyE
Find an exact equation What is flyingO
Anywhere that is more essential to our questD
Even the lake boat walking on its blue streetsE
Organ of thunder muttering in the sky A tigerH
Standing on the edge of a plowed fieldD
What is necessary What is inseparable to knowP
The children seek silvery pretty cavesE
What are we to teachQ
The distance is not greatD
To worlds of magnificent joy or nowhereR
