Pastoral Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCBD EFGHIJK

The Dove walks with sticky feetA
Upon the green crowns of the almond treeB
Its feathers smeared over with warmthC
Like honeyB
That dips lazily down into the shadowD
-
Anyone standing in that orchard So filled with peace and sleepE
Would hardly have noticed the hillF
NearbyG
With its three strange wooden armsH
Lifted above a throng of motionless peopleI
Above the helmets of Pilate's soldiersJ
Flashing like silver teeth in the sunK
