In The Footsteps Of The Walking Air Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABC DE CFGH IJ KKCL

In the footsteps of the walking airA
Sky's prophetic chickens weave their cloth of aweB
And hillsides lift green wings in somber journeyingC
-
Night in his soft haste bumps on the shoulders of the abyssD
And a single drop of dark blood covers the earthE
-
Now is the China of the spirit at walkingC
In my reachesF
A sable organ sounds in my gathered willG
And love's inscrutable skeleton singsH
-
My seeing moves under a vegetable shroudI
And dead forests stand where once Mary stoodJ
-
Sullen stone dogs wait in the groves of waterK
Though the wanderer drown his welfare is as a fireK
That burns at the bottom of the sea warmingC
Unknown roads for sleep to walk uponL
