Be Music, Night Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABC DEF GHII JDI KLMI

Be music nightA
That her sleep may goB
Where angels have their pale tall choirsC
-
Be a hand seaD
That her dreams may watchE
Thy guidesman touching the green flesh of the worldF
-
Be a voice skyG
That her beauties may be countedH
And the stars will tilt their quiet facesI
Into the mirror of her lovelinessI
-
Be a road earthJ
That her walking may take theeD
Where the towns of heaven lift their breathing spiresI
-
O be a world and a throne GodK
That her living may find its weatherL
And the souls of ancient bells in a child's bookM
Shall lead her into Thy wondrous houseI
