| Still are the winds and still the hours | C |

| Upon a star hung in a starry sky | D |
| But hearts another measure beat | E |

| Each body wingless as it lies | F |
| Sends out its butterfly of night | G |
| With delicate wings and jewelled eyes | F |

| And some upon day's shores are cast | H |
| And some in darkness lost | I |
| In waves beyond the world where float | J |
