| For my sake talk of Graves no more | B |
| Death is not in our power to gain | C |
| And is both wish'd and fear'd in vain | C |
| Let's be as angry as wee will | D |
| Grief sooner may distract then kill | D |
| And the unhappy often prove | E |
| Death is as coy a thing as Love | F |
| Those whose own sword their death did give | G |
| Afraid were or asham'd to Live | H |
| And by an act so desperate | I |
| Did poorly run away from fate | J |
| 'Tis braver much t'out ride the storm | K |
| Endure its rages and shun his harm | L |
| Affliction nobly undergone | M |
| More Greatness shews than having none | N |
| But yet the Wheel in turning round | O |
| At last may lift us from the ground | O |
| And when our Fortune's most severe | P |
| The less we have the less we fear | P |
| And why should we that grief permit | I |
| Which can nor mend nor shorten it | I |
| Let's wait for a succeeding good | Q |
| Woes have their Ebb as well as flood | R |
| And since Parliament have rescu'd you | S |
