To My Antenor Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCCDDEFGHIJKLMNOOPP IIQRSS

My dear Antenor now give o'reA
For my sake talk of Graves no moreB
Death is not in our power to gainC
And is both wish'd and fear'd in vainC
Let's be as angry as wee willD
Grief sooner may distract then killD
And the unhappy often proveE
Death is as coy a thing as LoveF
Those whose own sword their death did giveG
Afraid were or asham'd to LiveH
And by an act so desperateI
Did poorly run away from fateJ
'Tis braver much t'out ride the stormK
Endure its rages and shun his harmL
Affliction nobly undergoneM
More Greatness shews than having noneN
But yet the Wheel in turning roundO
At last may lift us from the groundO
And when our Fortune's most severeP
The less we have the less we fearP
And why should we that grief permitI
Which can nor mend nor shorten itI
Let's wait for a succeeding goodQ
Woes have their Ebb as well as floodR
And since Parliament have rescu'd youS
Believe that Providence will do so tooS
