A
COme my Lucasia since we seeB
That Miracles Mens faith do moveC
By wonder and by prodigyB
To the dull angry world let's proveC
There's a Religion in our LoveD
-
-
For though we were design'd t' agreeB
That Fate no liberty destroyesB
But our Election is as freeB
As Angels who with greedy choiceB
Are yet determin'd to their joyesB
-
-
-
Our hearts are doubled by the lossB
Here Mixture is Addition grownE
We both diffuse and both ingrossB
And we whose minds are so much oneF
Never yet ever are aloneE
-
-
-
We court our own CaptivityB
Than Thrones more great and innocentG
'Twere banishment to be set freeB
Since we wear fetters whose intentH
Not Bondage is but OrnamentG
-
-
-
Divided joyes are tedious foundI
And griefs united easier growJ
We are our selves but by reboundI
And all our Titles shuffled soJ
Both Princes and both Subjects tooK
-
-
-
Our Hearts are mutual Victims laidL
While they such power in Friendship liesB
Are Altars Priests and Off'rings madeL
And each Heart which thus kindly diesB
Grows deathless by the SacrificeB
