Epitaph On Her Son H. P. Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: AABCDDEEAFGGHHGGGGII GG

WHat on Earth deserves our trustA
Youth and Beauty both are dustA
Long we gathering are with painB
What one moment calls againC
Seven years childless marriage pastD
A Son a son is born at lastD
So exactly lim'd and fairE
Full of good Spirits Meen and AirE
As a long life promisedA
Yet in less than six weeks deadF
Too promising too great a mindG
In so small room to be confin'dG
Therefore as fit in Heav'n to dwellH
He quickly broke the Prison shellH
So the subtle AlchimistG
Can't with Hermes Seal resistG
The powerful spirit's subtler flightG
But t'will bid him long good nightG
And so the Sun if it ariseI
Half so glorious as his EyesI
Like this Infant takes a shrowdG
Buried in a morning CloudG
