What The Owl Said To Me Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABABCA DEDEFGG DHDHCHI

The moon went under a ragged cloudA
The owl cried out of the ruined wallB
Slow and solemn distinct and loudA
His melancholy callB
Tu whit tu whit tu whooC
Like a creature in a shroudA
-
Across the night in a silver chainD
While a lonesome wind arose and diedE
Slow stepped the ghostly feet of the rainD
The owl from the wall repliedE
Tu whit tu whoo hoo hoo'F
With a peal of goblin laughterG
And silence fell thereafterG
-
Weird fingers of the wandering rainD
Reaching out of the hollow darkH
Paused and tapped at my window paneD
A muffled voice cried HarkH
Tu whit tu whit tu whooC
The moon is drowned in the darkH
And the world belongs to me and youI
