May Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABBCBACA DEEFEDGD

Thou comest to the yearA
And bringest all things beautiful and sweetB
Thy lovely miracles themselves repeatB
In the green glory of the grassC
And peeping flowers that stay our lingering feetB
With their soft eyes blue like the sky and clearA
Thou bringest not alasC
Our lily our May blossom O New YearA
-
Thou bringest all things fairD
And bright and gentle but thou bring'st not herE
The May birds warble and May breezes stirE
In the sweet scented lilac boughsF
But our one May our gentlest ministerE
Of gladness with the beauty of her hairD
Her place in our still houseG
Is empty and the world is bleak and bareD
