Dandelion Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCBDEFE CGHGIGJG CJKJLGMG

He is a roguish little elfA
A gay audacious fellowB
Who tramps about in doublet greenC
And skirt of brightest yellowB
In ev'ry field by ev'ry roadD
He peeps among the grassesE
And shows his sunny little faceF
To ev'ry one that passesE
-
Within the churchyard he is seenC
Beside the headstones peepingG
And shining like a golden starH
O'er some still form there sleepingG
Beside the house door oft he springsI
In all his wanton strayingG
And children shout in laughing gleeJ
To find him in their playingG
-
At eve he dons his nightgown greenC
And goes to bed right earlyJ
At morn he spreads his yellow skirtsK
To catch the dewdrops pearlyJ
A darling elf is DandelionL
A roguish wanton sweetingG
Yet he is loved by ev'ry childM
All give him joyous greetingG
