A Genteel Family. Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABAB CDED FGCH IBJB KLAL MDAD NAOA

Some children are so naughtyA
And some are very goodB
But the Genteel FamilyA
Did always what it shouldB
-
They put on gloves when they went outC
And ran not in the streetD
And on wet days not one of themE
Had ever muddy feetD
-
Then they were always so politeF
And always thanked you soG
And never threw their toys aboutC
As naughty children doH
-
They always learnt their lessonsI
When it was time they shouldB
And liked to eat up all their crustsJ
They were so very goodB
-
And then their frocks were never tornK
Their tuckers always cleanL
And their hair so very tidyA
Always quite fit to be seenL
-
Then they made calls with their mammaM
And were so very neatD
And learnt to bow becominglyA
When they met you in the streetD
-
And really they were everythingN
That children ought to beA
And well may be examples nowO
For little you and meA
