The Looking Glass Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCDEEDFEAGHIJEKKALM AENO

Getting a man to love you is easyA
Only be honest about your wants asB
Woman Stand nude before the glass with himC
So that he sees himself the stronger oneD
And believes it so and you so much moreE
Softer younger lovelier Admit yourE
Admiration Notice the perfectionD
Of his limbs his eyes reddening underF
The shower the shy walk across the bathroom floorE
Dropping towels and the jerky way heA
Urinates All the fond details that makeG
Him male and your only man Gift him allH
Gift him what makes you woman the scent ofI
Long hair the musk of sweat between the breastsJ
The warm shock of menstrual blood and all yourE
Endless female hungers Oh yes gettingK
A man to love is easy but livingK
Without him afterwards may have to beA
Faced A living without life when you moveL
Around meeting strangers with your eyes thatM
Gave up their search with ears that hear onlyA
His last voice calling out your name and yourE
Body which once under his touch had gleamedN
Like burnished brass now drab and destituteO
