Relationship Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCDEFGHFFIJKLMNO

This love older than I by myriadA
Saddened centuries was once a prayerB
In his bones that made them grow in years ofC
Adolescence to this favored height yesD
It was my desire that made him maleE
And beautiful so that when at last weF
Met to believe that once I knew not hisG
Form his quiet touch or the blind kindnessH
Of his lips was hard indeed Betray meF
Yes he can but never physicallyF
Only with words that curl their limbs atI
Touch of air and die with metallic sighsJ
Why care I for their quick sterile sting whileK
My body's wisdom tells and tells againL
That I shall find my rest my sleep my peaceM
And even death nowhere else but here inN
My betrayer's armsO
