“silent Poetry” Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCB DEFE DGHG IDJH

in a room all aloneA
i sit on the floorB
i make up a rhymeC
and a shadow makes it through the doorB
-
i held the penD
it slipped from my handE
the ink running down my skinF
nowhere to landE
-
i held the pen againD
on the paper i writeG
but it s still plainH
and the morning has taken over the nightG
-
i scream and yellI
i yell againD
the poet inside me is so stillJ
and the words have perished from my brainH
