Rhyme Scheme: ABCADC E FGHIABJ KLMNLM MOMBOM

Oh we love that dear old flagA
That our forefathers gaveB
Over one hundred years ago boysC
They once stood under that dear flagA
But now they are in their gravesD
Sleeping their everlasting sleep boysC
-
CHORUSE
-
The Union foreverF
Hurrah boys hurrahG
Down with the traitorsH
Up with the starsI
For we love that dear old flagA
That our fathers fought to saveB
When they were fighting for our freedomJ
-
We will rally around its standardK
Every Fourth day of JulyL
For we dearly love our nationM
We love to see the stars and stripesN
A waving up on highL
Over our Union celebrationM
-
Three cheers for the UnionM
And the red white and blueO
And our forefathers that formed the constitutionM
May the flag forever waveB
O'er our native land so trueO
May God protect our flag and nationM
