When I was a little infant | B |

Of a loving mother's arms | C |
Go to sleep my little baby | E |
Go to sleep mamma would say | F |
Oh will not my little lady | E |
Go to sleep for ma to day | F |
- | |
Oh my parents loved me dearly | E |
For I was their eldest born | G |
And they always called me Julia | H |
In a mild and loving form | I |
My parents will not forget me | E |
Though I married and left their home | J |
For they can remember clearly | E |
How with them I once did roam | J |
- | |
Oh my mother how I love her | D |
Though her head is growing gray | F |
For in fancy I can see her | D |
Bending o'er me night and day | F |
As she did when I was little | K |
Watching me in sleep and play | F |
Mother now is growing feeble | K |
Now I will her love repay | F |
- | |
Oh my father how I love him | L |
For he has worked hard for me | E |

In my little infancy | E |
And oh I will not forget him | L |
While on earth I do remain | N |
May the God of heaven bless him | L |
In this world of grief and pain | N |
