Little Charlie Hades Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCBDEDF GHGHIJKJ LMLMNONO DPDPQRNR

Little Charlie Hades has goneA
To dwell with God aboveB
Where live the little angel throngC
In perfect peace and loveB
His little spirit now is freeD
Free from all earthly painE
His little form no more can beD
In the bright earth againF
-
His little life was short on earthG
Being but three years oldH
His little form so full of mirthG
Now the cold earth enfoldH
In her embrace she gently keepsI
His form she calls her ownJ
There sweetly sleeping his last sleepK
Quietly all aloneJ
-
His laughing eyes of violet blueL
Are closed in deep reposeM
His curly hair of coal black hueL
His little head incloseM
In beauty he was bright and fairN
He was his friends' delightO
They miss his footsteps everywhereN
From morning until nightO
-
That innocent voice full of gleeD
On earth is heard no moreP
That precious soul from sin is freeD
And will be evermoreP
His parents mourn for Charlie dearQ
Their loving little oneR
And oft times they will shed a tearN
For their little infant sonR
