Fourth Of July Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCD EEFF GGFF

Fourth of July how sweet it soundsA
As every year it rolls aroundB
It brings active joy to boy and manC
This glorious day throughout our landD
-
We hail this day with joy and prideE
And speak of our forefathers who diedE
Who fought for liberty in days of yoreF
And drove the British from our shoreF
-
We as descendants of that raceG
Should not now our land disgraceG
Arise freeman arise once moreF
Be earnest as in the days of yoreF
