| It was a grand beautiful sight | I |
| To all human sensitive creatures | J |
| To all the people that loved to read | K |
| The mottoes on it painted | F |
| The engravings too and tell | L |
| What each one represented | F |

| The paintings and mottoes on the arch | M |
| Was viewed by many people | N |
| It was Colonel Joseph Penney's design | O |
| And his work could not be equalled | F |

| He formed the noble structure | H |
