They Say That Shadows Of Deceased Ghosts Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis
Rhyme Scheme: ABBACDDEFGGFHH| They say that shadows of deceased ghosts | A |
| Do haunt the houses and the graves about | B |
| Of such whose life's lamp went untimely out | B |
| Delighting still in their forsaken hosts | A |
| So in the place where cruel Love doth shoot | C |
| The fatal shaft that slew my love's delight | D |
| I stalk and walk and wander day and night | D |
| Even like a ghost with unperceived foot | E |
| But those light ghosts are happier far than I | F |
| For at their pleasure they can come and go | G |
| Unto the place that hides their treasure so | G |
| And see the name with their fantastic eye | F |
| Where I alas dare not approach the cruel | H |
| Proud moment that doth enclose my jewel | H |
