A Contented Mind Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABABCDEFEGHHIFIFJJKL KLMM

I weigh not Fortune's frown or smileA
I joy not much in earthly joysB
I seek not state I reck not styleA
I am not fond of fancy's toysB
I rest so pleased with what I haveC
I wish no more no more I craveD
I quake not at the thunder's crackE
I tremble not at noise of warF
I swoon not at the news of wrackE
I shrink not at a blazing starG
I fear not loss I hope not gainH
I envy none I none disdainH
I see ambition never pleasedI
I see some Tantals starved in storeF
I see gold's dropsy seldom easedI
I see e'en Midas gape for moreF
I neither want nor yet aboundJ
Enough's a feast content is crown'dJ
I feign not friendship where I hateK
I fawn not on the great in showL
I prize I praise a mean estateK
Neither too lofty nor too lowL
This this is all my choice my cheerM
A mind content a conscience clearM
