The Weight Of Depression Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: AABB AACC BBDD EEFF GGBB

Heavy is the weight that I bearA
A burden too great to shareA
Dragging me down day by dayB
In an endless suffocating grayB
-
My mind is a prison of despairA
A dark place where hope is rareA
And sadness reigns supremeC
In a world that's but a dreamC
-
I struggle to find my wayB
Lost in a maze day after dayB
Trying to break free to see the lightD
But always falling back into the nightD
-
I feel alone isolated and smallE
As if I'm invisible invisible to allE
And the stigma of depression weighs me downF
Like an anchor that will never drownF
-
But I know that I'm not aloneG
That others have felt what I have knownG
And together we can find a wayB
To break free from the weight of depression one dayB
