The Fir-tree Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCBDB AEFEDE

The winds have blown more bitterA
Each darkening day of fallB
High over all the house topsC
The stars are far and smallB
I wonder will my fir treeD
Be green in spite of allB
-
O grief is colder colderA
Than wind from any partE
And tears of grief are bitter tearsF
And doubt's a sorer smartE
But I promised to my fir treeD
To keep the fragrant heartE
