The Cloud Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCD EFEF GHIH GJGJ AKJK ELEL MANA

The islands called me far awayA
The valleys called me homeB
The rivers with a silver voiceC
Drew on my heart to comeD
-
The paths reached tendrils to my hairE
From every vine and treeF
There was no refuge anywhereE
Until I came to theeF
-
There is a northern cloud I knowG
Along a mountain crestH
And as she folds her wings of mistI
So I could make my restH
-
There is no chain to bind her soG
Unto that purple heightJ
And she will shine and wander slowG
Slow with a cloud's delightJ
-
Would she begone She melts awayA
A heavenly joyous thingK
Yet day will find the mountain whiteJ
White folded with her wingK
-
As you may see but half awareE
If it be late or soonL
Soft breathing on the day time airE
The fair forgotten MoonL
-
And though love cannot bind me LoveM
Ah no yet I could stayA
Maybe with wings forever spreadN
Forever and a dayA
