November Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: AABCDEFFGGHHIIJJDDKK LLL

Old November sere and brownA
Clothes the country haunts the townA
Sheds its cloak of withered leavesB
Brings its sighing soughing breezeC
Prophet of the dying yearD
Builder of its funeral bierE
Bring your message here to menF
Sound it forth that they may kenF
What of Life and what of DeathG
Linger on your frosty breathG
Let men know to you are givenH
Days of thanks to God in heavenH
Thanks for things which we deem bestI
Thanks O God for all the restI
That have taught us trouble strifeJ
Bring thru Death a larger lifeJ
Death of our base self and fearD
Even as the dying yearD
Though through cold and frost shall bringK
Forth a new and glorious springK
Shall shed over us the swayL
Of a new and brighter dayL
With Hope Faith and Love alwayL
