Ego Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCB DEDE DFGF FHHH FIFI

Day passeth day in sunshine or shadowA
Night unto night each cycle is toldB
Sun moon and stars in whirling and glamourC
All unto all the creation unfoldB
-
What of the strivings what of the gropingsD
Out from the darkness into the lightE
What of the weepings what of the grievingsD
Now from the day to the passionate nightE
-
Stars of the stars heavens of the heavensD
Rising or falling or pausing a spanF
Each to the great I am replyingG
E'en as the crystal e'en as manF
-
Chant of the worlds from aeon to aeonF
Song of the soul from dust unto dustH
Dream of the clods that upward and starwardH
Rise to the call of the primal Thou mustH
-
Space beyond space eternity's visionF
Chaos to chaos calm unto calmI
World beneath world heaven above heavenF
Life but the urge death but the balmI
