| shone a sort of yellow in a corner | H |

| the stove quite dark and in a dusty frame | I |
| a landscape did not stir Only the sideboard | D |
| seemed to me to have some animation | J |
| But a moth flitted round the room | K |
| causing my arrested glance to shift | D |
| and if at any time a ghost had lived here | L |
| he now was gone abandoning this house | M |
