Galatea Encore Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCBDBEBBFBBBGBH

As though the mercury's under its tongue it won'tA
talk As though with the mercury in its sphincterB
immobile by a leaf coated pondC
a statue stands white like a blight of winterB
After such snow there is nothing indeed the insD
and outs of centuries pestered heatherB
That's what coming full circle meansE
when your countenance starts to resemble weatherB
when Pygmalion's vanished And you are freeB
to cloud your folds to bare the navelF
Future at last That is bleached debrisB
of a glacier amid the five lettered neverB
Hence the routine of a goddess neeB
alabaster that lets roving pupils gorge onG
the heart of color and the temperature of the kneeB
That's what it looks like inside a virginH
