Psalm 23 : The Lord My Pasture Shall Prepare Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: AABBCC DEFFGG HHIIJJ KKLLKK

The Lord my pasture shall prepareA
And feed me with a shepherd's careA
His presence shall my wants supplyB
And guard me with a watchful eyeB
My noonday walks He shall attendC
And all my midnight hours defendC
-
When in the sultry glebe I faintD
Or on the thirsty mountain pantE
To fertile vales and dewy meadsF
My weary wandering steps He leadsF
Where peaceful rivers soft and slowG
Amid the verdant landscape flowG
-
Though in a bare and rugged wayH
Through devious lonely wilds I strayH
Thy bounty shall my pains beguileI
The barren wilderness shall smileI
With sudden greens and herbage crownedJ
And streams shall murmur all aroundJ
-
Though in the paths of death I treadK
With gloomy horrors overspreadK
My steadfast heart shall fear no illL
For Thou O Lord art with me stillL
Thy friendly crook shall give me aidK
And guide me through the dreadful shadeK
