Corinna Pride of Drury LaneA
For whom no Shepherd sighs in vainA
Never did Covent Garden boastB
So bright a batter'd strolling ToastB
No drunken Rake to pick her upC
No Cellar where on Tick to supC
Returning at the Midnight HourD
Four Stories climbing to her Bow'rE
Then seated on a three legg'd ChairF
Takes off her artificial HairF
Now picking out a Crystal EyeG
She wipes it clean and lays it byG
Her Eye Brows from a Mouse's HideH
Stuck on with Art on either SideH
Pulls off with Care and first displays 'emI
Then in a Play Book smoothly lays 'emI
Now dextrously her Plumpers drawsJ
That serve to fill her hollow JawsJ
Untwists a Wire and from her GumsK
A Set of Teeth completely comesK
Pulls out the Rags contriv'd to propL
Her flabby Dugs and down they dropL
Proceeding on the lovely GoddessM
Unlaces next her Steel Rib'd BodiceN
Which by the Operator's SkillO
Press down the Lumps the Hollows fillO
Up hoes her Hand and off she slipsP
The Bolsters that supply her HipsP
With gentlest Touch she next exploresQ
Her Shankers Issues running SoresQ
Effects of many a sad DisasterD
And then to each applies a PlasterD
But must before she goes to BedR
Rub off the Daubs of White and RedR
And smooth the Furrows in her FrontS
With greasy Paper stuck upon'tT
She takes a Bolus e'er she sleepsU
And then between two Blankets creepsU
With pains of love tormented liesV
Or if she chance to close her EyesV
Of Bridewell and the Compter dreamsW
And feels the Lash and faintly screamsW
Or by a faithless Bully drawnX
At some Hedge Tavern lies in PawnX
Or to Jamaica seems transportedY
Alone and by no Planter courtedZ
Or near Fleet Ditch's oozy BrinksA2
Surrounded with a Hundred StinksA2
Belated seems on watch to lieG
And snap some Cull passing byG
Or struck with Fear her Fancy runsB2
On Watchmen Constables and DunsB2
From whom she meets with frequent RubsC2
But never from Religious ClubsC2
Whose Favour she is sure to findD2
Because she pays them all in KindD2
CORINNA wakes A dreadful SightE2
Behold the Ruins of the NightE2
A wicked Rat her Plaster stoleF2
Half eat and dragged it to his HoleF2
The Crystal Eye alas was miss'dG2
And Puss had on her Plumpers piss'dG2
A Pigeon pick'd her Issue PeasH2
And Shock her Tresses fill'd with FleasH2
The Nymph tho' in this mangled PlightE2
Must ev'ry Morn her Limbs uniteE2
But how shall I describe her ArtsI2
To recollect the scatter'd PartsI2
Or show the Anguish Toil and PainA
Of gath'ring up herself againJ2
The bashful Muse will never bearF
In such a Scene to interfereK2
Corinna in the Morning dizen'dE2
Who sees will spew who smells be poison'dE2
