back on this hard wooden chair I reel | A |
reflecting on wasted opportunities of my day | B |
thinking how I could have made my masters proud | C |
This gives me a great spur to please | D |
so I throw open my books with ease | D |
and begin to write this poem | E |
I listen to the repetitive hum | E |
of the beat up fan beside me | F |
It calms my soul and my mind begins to wander | G |
My eyes luckily glare at my watch | H |
only to feel again the pain of not being best | I |
as I see the precious seconds ticking away | B |
Again I am spurred I rush my words | J |
to form this random spew of words I call my own | K |
And at the end of it all I climb off my hard chair | L |
and gracefully slip into my bed struggling | M |
to put the covers over me | F |

Finally I lay my full head to rest | I |
and then I remember I have a test the next day | B |
One more time I get a spur and try to leave | N |
the bed but I am already trapped in a dream | O |
I can never escape | P |
