The Trapped Mind Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: AABCDDEEFGHIBJKLMF IBNOPQ

Oh the ache and pain I feelA
back on this hard wooden chair I reelA
reflecting on wasted opportunities of my dayB
thinking how I could have made my masters proudC
This gives me a great spur to pleaseD
so I throw open my books with easeD
and begin to write this poemE
I listen to the repetitive humE
of the beat up fan beside meF
It calms my soul and my mind begins to wanderG
My eyes luckily glare at my watchH
only to feel again the pain of not being bestI
as I see the precious seconds ticking awayB
Again I am spurred I rush my wordsJ
to form this random spew of words I call my ownK
And at the end of it all I climb off my hard chairL
and gracefully slip into my bed strugglingM
to put the covers over meF
-
Finally I lay my full head to restI
and then I remember I have a test the next dayB
One more time I get a spur and try to leaveN
the bed but I am already trapped in a dreamO
I can never escapeP
