“grief” Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCDEFEGHHIJKLDMFFEA N

maybe it s trueA
things we experience shape us to be the person we are todayB
make us who we areC
a bit tougher and more used to all feelings life inevitably forces us to thoroughly experienceD
but how has grief shaped meE
has it made me more familiar with the idea of losingF
what has it taught meE
what could it possibly do to a bewildered ten year old who barely knows a thing about deathG
paved my way to acceptance and the idea of moving onH
i refuse to believe that there s such thing like moving onH
not when the person you continually yearn for is somewhere where they can t be reachedI
can t be heardJ
can t be touchedK
not million years of grief and sorrowL
or endless faces offering you their condolenceD
will ever end your griefM
for grief deprives of every humanly feelingF
every possible feelingF
for a split second you feel dreamily emptyE
like it has taken every human thing out of youA
and then it fills you with all the tolerance and energy you ll need to grief againN
