Hymn Xii: Come, Ye That Love The Lord Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABABCDCE FGFHIJIJ KLKLMNON PQPQPFRF

Come ye that love the LordA
And let your joys be knownB
Join in a song with sweet accordA
While ye surround his throneB
Let those refuse to singC
Who never knew our GodD
But servants of the heavenly KingC
May speak their joys abroadE
-
The God that rules on highF
That all the earth surveysG
That rides upon the stormy skyF
And calms the roaring seasH
This awful God is oursI
Our Father and our loveJ
He will send down his heavenly powersI
To carry us aboveJ
-
There we shall see his faceK
And never never sinL
There from the rivers of his graceK
Drink endless pleasures inL
Yea and before we riseM
To that immortal stateN
The thoughts of such amazing blissO
Should constant joys createN
-
The men of grace have foundP
Glory begun belowQ
Celestial fruit on earthly groundP
From faith and hope may growQ
Then let our songs aboundP
And every tear be dryF
We are marching through Immanuel's groundsR
To fairer worlds on highF
