To The Nightingale Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABBAABBACDCDCD

O Nightingale that on yon bloomy sprayA
Warblest at eve when all the woods are stillB
Thou with fresh hope the lover's heart dost fillB
While the jolly hours lead on propitious MayA
Thy liquid notes that close the eye of dayA
First heard before the shallow cuckoo's billB
Portend success in love O if Jove's willB
Have linked that amorous power to thy soft layA
Now timely sing ere the rude bird of hateC
Foretell my hopeless doom in some grove nighD
As thou from year to year hast sung too lateC
For my relief yet hadst no reason whyD
Whether the Muse or Love call thee his mateC
Both them I serve and of their train am ID
