E're half my days in this dark world and wide | B |
And that one Talent which is death to hide | B |
Lodg'd with me useless though my Soul more bent | A |
To serve therewith my Maker and present | C |
My true account least he returning chide | B |
Doth God exact day labour light deny'd | B |
I fondly ask But patience to prevent | B |
That murmur soon replies God doth not need | B |
Either man's work or his own gifts who best | B |
Bear his milde yoak they serve him best his State | B |
Is Kingly Thousands at his bidding speed | B |
And post o're Land and Ocean without rest | B |
They also serve who only stand and waite | B |
