Sonnets. Xiv Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCAABBADEDEDE

When Faith and Love which parted from thee neverA
Had ripen'd thy just soul to dwell with GodB
Meekly thou didst resign this earthy loadC
Of Death call'd Life which us from Life doth severA
Thy Works and Alms and all thy good EndeavourA
Staid not behind nor in the grave were trodB
But as Faith pointed with her golden rodB
Follow'd thee up to joy and bliss for everA
Love led them on and Faith who knew them bestD
Thy hand maids clad them o're with purple beamsE
And azure wings that up they flew so drestD
And speak the truth of thee on glorious TheamsE
Before the Judge who thenceforth bid thee restD
And drink thy fill of pure immortal streamsE
