Sonnets. I. Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABBAABBACDCECE

O Nightingale that on yon bloomy SprayA
Warbl'st at eeve when all the Woods are stillB
Thou with fresh hope the Lovers heart dost fillB
While the jolly hours lead on propitious MayA
Thy liquid notes that close the eye of DayA
First heard before the shallow Cuccoo's billB
Portend success in love O if Jove's willB
Have linkt that amorous power to thy soft layA
Now timely sing ere the rude Bird of HateC
Foretell my hopeles doom in som Grove nyD
As thou from yeer to yeer hast sung too lateC
For my relief yet hadst no reason whyE
Whether the Muse or Love call thee his mateC
Both them I serve and of their train am IE
