Sonnet 18 Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: A BCCBBCCBDECDEC

XVIIIA
-
Cyriack whose Grandsire on the Royal BenchB
Of Brittish Themis with no mean applauseC
Pronounc't and in his volumes taught our LawesC
Which others at their Barr so often wrenchB
To day deep thoughts resolve with me to drenchB
In mirth that after no repenting drawesC
Let Euclid rest and Archimedes pauseC
And what the Swede intend and what the FrenchB
To measure life learn thou betimes and knowD
Toward solid good what leads the nearest wayE
For other things mild Heav'n a time ordainsC
And disapproves that care though wise in showD
That with superfluous burden loads the dayE
And when God sends a cheerful hour refrainsC
