Rhyme Scheme: A BCDBBCCBEFEFEF FEG

XIVA
-
When Faith and Love which parted from thee neverB
Had ripen'd thy just soul to dwell with GodC
Meekly thou didst resign this earthy loadD
Of Death call'd Life which us from Life doth severB
Thy Works and Alms and all thy good EndeavourB
Staid not behind nor in the grave were trodC
But as Faith pointed with her golden rodC
Follow'd thee up to joy and bliss for everB
Love led them on and Faith who knew them bestE
Thy hand maids clad them o're with purple beamsF
And azure wings that up they flew so drestE
And speak the truth of thee on glorious TheamsF
Before the Judge who thenceforth bid thee restE
And drink thy fill of pure immortal streamsF
