Let us with a gladsome mindA
Praise the Lord for he is kindA
For his mercies aye endureB
Ever faithful ever sureB
-
Let us blaze his Name abroadC
For of gods he is the GodD
For his cE
-
O let us his praises tellF
That doth the wrathful tyrants quellF
For his cE
-
That with his miracles doth makeG
Amaz d Heaven and Earth to shakeG
For his cE
-
That by his wisdom did createH
The painted heavens so full of stateH
For his cE
-
That did the solid Earth ordainI
To rise above the watery plainI
For his cE
-
That by his all commanding mightJ
Did fill the new made world with lightJ
For his cE
-
And caused the golden tress d SunK
All the day long his course to runK
For his cE
-
The horn d Moon to shine by nightJ
Amongst her spangled sisters brightJ
For his cE
-
He with his thunder clasping handL
Smote the first born of Egypt landL
For his cE
-
And in despite of Pharao fellF
He brought from thence his IsraelM
For his cE
-
The ruddy waves he cleft in twainI
Of the Erythr an mainI
For his cE
-
The floods stood still like walls of glassN
While the Hebrew bands did passN
For his cE
-
But full soon they did devourO
The tawny King with all his powerO
For his cE
-
His chosen people he did blessP
In the wasteful WildernessQ
For his cE
-
In bloody battail he brought downR
Kings of prowess and renownR
For his cE
-
He foiled bold Seon and his hostS
That ruled the Amorrean coastS
For his cE
-
And large limbed Og he did subdueT
With all his over hardy crewT
For his cE
-
And to his servant IsraelM
He gave their land therein to dwellF
For his cE
-
He hath with a piteous eyeU
Beheld us in our miseryE
For his cE
-
And freed us from the slaveryE
Of the invading enemyE
For his cE
-
All living creatures he doth feedV
And with full hand supplies their needV
For his cE
-
Let us therefore warble forthW
His mighty majesty and worthX
For his cE
-
That his mansion hath on highU
Above the reach of mortal eyeU
For his cE
