AugA
-
Answer me when I callB
God of my righteousnessC
In straights and in distressD
Thou didst me disinthrallB
And set at large now spareE
Now pity me and hear my earnest prai'rE
-
Great ones how long will yeF
My glory have in scornG
How long be thus forlornG
Still to love vanityF
To love to seek to prizeH
Things false and vain and nothing else but liesH
-
Yet know the Lord hath choseI
Chose to himself a partJ
The good and meek of heartJ
For whom to chuse he knowsI
Jehovah from on highK
Will hear my voyce what time to him I crieE
-
Be aw'd and do not sinL
Speak to your hearts aloneM
Upon your beds each oneN
And be at peace withinL
Offer the offerings justA
Of righteousness and in Jehovah trustA
-
Many there be that sayO
Who yet will shew us goodP
Talking like this worlds broodQ
But Lord thus let me prayO
On us lift up the lightR
Lift up the favour of thy count'nance brightR
-
Into my heart more joyS
And gladness thou hast putT
Then when a year of glutU
Their stores doth over cloyS
And from their plenteous groundsV
With vast increase their corn and wine aboundsV
-
In peace at once will IK
Both lay me down and sleepW
For thou alone dost keepW
Me safe where ere I lieK
As in a rocky CellB
Thou Lord alone in safety mak'st me dwellB
