AugA
When He Fled From AbsalomB
-
Lord how many are my foesC
How many thoseC
That in arms against me riseD
Many are theyE
That of my life distrustfully thus sayE
No help for him in God there liesD
But thou Lord art my shield my gloryF
Thee through my storyF
Th' exalter of my head I countG
Aloud I cry'dG
Unto Jehovah he full soon reply'dG
And heard me from his holy mountG
I lay and slept I wak'd againH
For my sustainI
Was the Lord Of many millionsJ
The populous routG
I fear not though incamping round aboutG
They pitch against me their PavillionsJ
Rise Lord save me my God for thouK
Hast smote ere nowK
On the cheek bone all my foesJ
Of men abhor'dG
Hast broke the teeth This help was from the LordG
Thy blessing on thy people flowsJ
