Psalm 02 Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: A BABACADECEFEFAFAAAAG AGCGCHCH

Done Aug TerzettiA
-
Why do the Gentiles tumult and the NationsB
Muse a vain thing the Kings of th'earth upstandA
With power and Princes in their CongregationsB
Lay deep their plots together through each LandA
Against the Lord and his Messiah dearC
Let us break off say they by strength of handA
Their bonds and cast from us no more to wearD
Their twisted cords he who in Heaven doth dwellE
Shall laugh the Lord shall scoff them then severeC
Speak to them in his wrath and in his fellE
And fierce ire trouble them but I saith heeF
Anointed have my King though ye rebellE
On Sion my holi' hill A firm decreeF
I will declare the Lord to me hath say'dA
Thou art my Son I have begotten theeF
This day ask of me and the grant is madeA
As thy possession I on thee bestowA
Th'Heathen and as thy conquest to be sway'dA
Earths utmost bounds them shalt thou bring full lowA
With Iron Sceptir bruis'd and them disperseG
Like to a potters vessel shiver'd soA
And now be wise at length ye Kings averseG
Be taught ye Judges of the earth with fearC
Jehovah serve and let your joy converseG
With trembling Kiss the Son least he appearC
In anger and ye perish in the wayH
If once his wrath take fire like fuel sereC
Happy all those who have in him their stayH
