Be not thou silent now at lengthA
O God hold not thy peaceB
Sit not thou still O God of strengthA
We cry and do not ceaseB
For lo thy furious foes now swellC
And storm outrageouslyD
And they that hate thee proud and fillE
Exalt their heads full hieF
Against thy people they contriveG
Their Plots and Counsels deepH
Them to ensnare they chiefly striveG
Whom thou dost hide and keepH
Come let us cut them off say theyI
Till they no Nation beD
That Israels name for ever mayI
Be lost in memoryD
For they consult with all their mightJ
And all as one in mindK
Themselves against thee they uniteJ
And in firm union bindK
The tents of Edom and the broodL
Of scornful IshmaelM
Moab with them of Hagars bloodN
That in the Desart dwellC
Gebal and Ammon there conspireO
And hateful AmalecP
The Philistims and they of TyreQ
Whose bounds the sea doth checkP
With them great Asshur also bandsR
And doth confirm the knotS
All these have lent their armed handsR
To aid the Sons of LotS
Do to them as to Midian boldT
That wasted all the CoastU
To Sisera and as is toldT
Thou didst to Jabins hoastT
When at the brook of Kishon oldT
They were repulst and slainV
At Endor quite cut off and rowl'dT
As dung upon the plainV
As Zeb and Oreb evil spedT
So let their Princes speedT
As Zeba and Zalmunna bledT
So let their Princes bleedT
For they amidst their pride have saidT
By right now shall we seizeW
Gods houses and will now invadeT
Their stately PalacesX
My God oh make them as a wheelM
No quiet let them findT
Giddy and restless let them reelM
Like stubble from the windT
As when an aged wood takes fireO
Which on a sudden straiesX
The greedy flame runs hier and hierO
Till all the mountains blazeX
So with thy whirlwind them pursueX
And with thy tempest chaseX
And till they yield thee honour dueX
Lord fill with shame their faceX
Asham'd and troubl'd let them beD
Troubl'd and sham'd for everO
Ever confounded and so dieT
With shame and scape it neverO
Then shall they know that thou whose nameY
Jehova is aloneZ
Art the most high and thou the sameY
O're all the earth art oneA2
