On The New Forcers Of Conscience Under The Long Parliament Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABAAACCAADEDEAAEEEBB

Because you have thrown of your Prelate LordA
And with stiff Vowes renounc'd his LiturgieB
To seise the widdow'd whore PluralitieA
From them whose sin ye envi'd not abhor'dA
Dare ye for this adjure the Civill SwordA
To force our Consciences that Christ set freeC
And ride us with a classic HierarchyC
Taught ye by meer A S and RotherfordA
Men whose Life Learning Faith and pure intentA
Would have been held in high esteem with PaulD
Must now he nam'd and printed HereticksE
By shallow Edwards and Scotch what d'ye callD
But we do hope to find out all your tricksE
Your plots and packing wors then those of TrentA
That so the ParliamentA
May with their wholsom and preventive ShearsE
Clip your Phylacteries though bauk your EarsE
And succour our just FearsE
When they shall read this clearly in your chargeB
New Presbyter is but Old Priest Writ LargeB
