On His Blindness Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABBACBBADEFDEF

When I consider how my light is spentA
Ere half my days in this dark world and wideB
And that one talent which is death to hideB
Lodg'd with me useless though my soul more bentA
To serve therewith my Maker and presentC
My true account lest he returning chideB
Doth God exact day labour light deniedB
I fondly ask But Patience to preventA
That murmur soon replies God doth not needD
Either man's work or his own gifts who bestE
Bear his mild yoke they serve him best His stateF
Is kingly thousands at his bidding speedD
And post o'er land and ocean without restE
They also serve who only stand and waitF
