Nay quoth he on his swooning bed out stretch'd | C |
If I may not carry sure Ile ne're be fetch'd | C |
But vow though the cross Doctors all stood hearers | G |
For one Carrier put down to make six bearers | G |
Ease was his chief disease and to judge right | C |
He di'd for heavines that his Cart went light | C |
His leasure told him that his time was com | H |
And lack of load made his life burdensom | H |
That even to his last breath ther be that say't | C |
As he were prest to death he cry'd more waight | C |
But had his doings lasted as they were | I |
He had bin an immortall Carrier | I |
Obedient to the Moon he spent his date | C |
In cours reciprocal and had his fate | C |
Linkt to the mutual flowing of the Seas | J |
Yet strange to think his wain was his increase | K |
His Letters are deliver'd all and gon | L |
Onely remains this superscription | L |
